Meet the Team
Redwood Wealth was established by three directors who had worked together for many years and recognised they shared the same philosophy about financial advice.
Experience matters. So does judgment. But above all, clients value clarity, consistency and a relationship built on trust. Each director brings a distinct professional background, yet all share a measured approach and a commitment to long-term client partnerships.

Director and Founder
Director and Founder
Professional background
Simon began his career as a financial adviser in 2006 at Nationwide Building Society before moving to NatWest, where he broadened his experience into corporate financial planning and worked closely with business owners.
In 2015, he joined Prudential and developed considerable expertise in private client wealth management and retirement planning. In 2020, Simon transitioned to independent financial advice, allowing him to provide solutions tailored fully to individual client needs.
Simon specialises in helping clients grow wealth during their working lives and then structure that wealth carefully to support the lifestyle they want in retirement. His approach is centred on understanding the individual behind the portfolio. Clients consistently value his commitment to personal advice rather than a standardised approach, as well as his ability to explain complex financial matters in clear, straightforward terms.

Mark Santer
DipCII MSWW
Director and Founder
Director and Founder
Professional background
With a career in financial services spanning more than three decades since March 1988, he has accumulated a wealth of experience across a wide variety of roles within the industry. This breadth of experience has given him a deep and well‑rounded understanding of what truly matters when it comes to serving clients effectively.
At the heart of his philosophy is the belief that, despite the industry’s evolution over the years, one fundamental principle remains unchanged: the client’s best interest must always come first. On a personal level, he has always chosen to work only with people he genuinely likes — because building real, lasting relationships means he can look forward to returning to each client year after year, delivering the kind of ongoing service that truly makes a difference.

Personal
In his downtime, he is happiest in the kitchen cooking for his family, and his wife Sally often jokes that he must have been a chef in a previous life.
He has a wide range of interests, including serving on the management committee and singing with The Kent Police Male Voice Choir, helping to raise money for charities through the 12-plus concerts they perform each year.
Among his current projects is the restoration of a 1948 Riley RMA Saloon car — an enjoyable, if demanding, investment of both time and money.
